A Pre-Mother's Day Event

Benefitting The Good Samaritan Center - May 4, 2010

The concert raised over $20,000 for the center. Thank you for your support!

Donald Braswell has been to the top, suffered huge setbacks, and thanks to unique blessings is at the top again. Julliard-trained, Donald was living the life of a young, premier operatic tenor throughout the United States and Europe when tragedy struck.

A car hit Donald while he was riding a bicycle in the United Kingdom in 1995, and the accident left him unable to speak or sing. Doctors told him he would be doing well to regain his speech and would likely never sing again.

With a great deal of determination and hard work, Donald beat the odds and spent the next few years working diligently to regain the normal use of his voice. Eventually, he began to perform again, most notably for Fredericksburg residents as one of San Antonio's Three Tenors.

His big break came in 2008 on the talent show "America's Got Talent". Out of more than 250,000 contestants, Donald enjoyed massive public support and made it to the finals.

Donald now makes his living by singing, including a regular show in Las Vegas, and he will be bringing his Vegas act to the Rockbox Theater on May 4 at 7pm. He performs several charitable concerts every year, and all f the proceeds from this concert will benefit The Good Samaritan Center in Fredericksburg.

Special thanks to the Rockbox Theater for hosting this event.
